Insectarium

You will discover the hidden world and secrets of insects.

The Montreal Insectarium is home to a multitude of treasures just waiting to be discovered. Dazzling, jewel-like beetles, giant stick insects, butterflies with multicoloured wings, and furry spiders will thrill visitors young and old. All these different insects are laid out in display cases, vivariums and carefully designed exhibition modules so that everyone can learn more about insects and arthropods. It’s a veritable temple celebrating insects from around the world, with plenty to satisfy first-time visitors and keen amateur entomologists alike.

In this exhibition, you will learn that insects live everywhere and you will learn how their many shapes and colours let them eat, hide, defend themselves and find a mate. You’ll also see how insects play many roles essential for the survival of humankind.

Definitely, an activity for the whole family. And if you are lucky enough, you may be invited to taste some of them !
